It was Testing Week - so, to add a little incentive- we added a Ticket System where the kids could earn tickets and use them to enter for prizes !!! A BIG THANKS to Wal Mart of Mason for donating two TV’s and then we added four other prizes that the kids could win !! To earn a ticket - they had to:
1. Be at school and be on time
2. Have their Chromebooks charged to 100%
3. Do their Best Effort every day
We had a staff vs. student kick ball game on Friday afternoon and then drew for the winners !! We had VERY excited students after the drawing - 🎉🎉🎉
We have great students and they all did a great job this week - very proud of our kids ❤️
🚔🚨 Today was an important day for Wahama High School, especially with prom weekend just around the corner. We came together to tackle a serious issue head-on: driving under the influence. Through a moving reenactment of a DUI crash, we aimed to drive home the message about the dangers of impaired driving.
Huge shoutout to our incredible partners, the Mason Volunteer Fire Department, New Haven Fire Department, Mason County Emergency Services, Stapleton’s Towing and all the amazing students and staff who poured their hearts into making this event happen. Your dedication to keeping our community safe is inspiring.
As we prepare for prom night, let's keep each other safe by making responsible choices behind the wheel. Together, we can ensure that everyone gets to enjoy the festivities and return home safely.
Respectfully
Chief C. McKinney
